Intern Spotlight: Meet Kaje

We're shining the spotlight on the people behind Conversaflex. In this edition, we sat down with Kaje for seven quick-fire to deep-dive questions.

1. What do you study and where?

I am pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.

2. How many languages do you speak?

Two — I can speak English, and elementary French.

3. Why did you want to work for an EdTech startup specifically?

Education is the ultimate equalizer, and an EdTech startup allows you to scale impact instantly. Working at the intersection of machine learning and modern education means building tools that immediately improve how people communicate globally.

4. What made you choose Conversaflex over other opportunities?

The Conversaflex technology was key to my decision in choosing Conversaflex. Such powerful technology that has the ability to empower learning amongst so many people really interested me. The team and the tech were the main reasons I chose Conversaflex.

5. What are you hoping to learn or master during your time here?

Honestly, I want to see what it actually takes to scale a tech company from the inside. Going to school for business gives you the theories, but it doesn't teach you how to pick up the phone, find the right enterprise buyers, and pitch a product that solves their actual problems. I'm here to master that entire sales pipeline, from mapping out a brand new market to closing deals that keep our revenue moving upward.

6. What is the biggest misconception people have about how AI intersects with human learning?

I think people assume that putting AI into education makes the whole experience cold or disconnected. But looking at it from a growth perspective, it's actually the exact opposite. Technology is the only way we can make high-quality learning accessible to everyone at the same time. It's not about taking humans out of the equation; it's about giving businesses a scalable tool so every single employee gets an equal shot at improving their skills.

7. Imagine it's your last day at Conversaflex. What impact do you hope you've left on the team, the platform, or our users?

For me, education is everything because it genuinely changes a person's path in life. When my time here is up, I want to look at our metrics and know that the deals I brought in opened the doors for thousands of people to learn a new language and level up their careers. If I can leave behind a solid pipeline of happy clients and some great sales playbooks for the next team, I'll feel like I did my part to help us grow.
